Metro Detroiter fuses funk and Arabic music for unique blend

(WJBK) - A metro Detroiter is taking inspiration from across the globe and putting it together in a series of performances.

It's called "In Transit Detroit" and it's hosted by local musician Sean Blackman.

This month's performance is called Arab-esque.

It fused Detroit's funkiest rhythm section with the aesthetics and music of the Arab world.

The show takes place tomorrow at the Garden Theater on Woodward in Midtown.

There will not only be music but food to go along with the event.

Tickets start at $15 for general admission and the shows starts at 8 p.m.
