New Production Birthday Candles World Premiere at Detroit Public Theatre

Internationally acclaimed playwright and Grand Rapids native Noah Haidle came in on The Nine today to talk about Birthday Candles, the production Detroit Public Theatre is closing its third season with. Watch in the video player above.

The show is making its world premiere in Detroit, May 10 through June 3, 2018. The play was commissioned by Detriot Public Theatre, written by Haidle and directed by Vivienne Benesch. Birthday Candles takes audiences on a magical journey with one woman, Ernestine Ashworth, as she travels from birthday to birthday, baking a life.
