Pollinator Palooza at Edsel and Eleanor Ford House Aug. 19

(WJBK) - A first event of its kind will celebrate pollinators of all kinds at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House this weekend. Pollinator Palooza will take place on Saturday, August 19, from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  

This event will feature many opportunities for guests to learn through hands-on activities and presentations by experts in the field on the many ways pollinators are important and how to protect them.

Bee keeper Joan Mandella and  Dawn Vezina, from the Organization for Bat Conservation, joined us on The Nine to tell us more about the event. You can hear from them in the video player above.

The event is rain or shine. Tickets are $12 non-members, $10 members, children 2 and under are free and are available at www.fordhouse.org.
