St. Jude challenge to raise $10,000 in one day

(WJBK) - To kick off Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, St. Jude is trying to raise $10,000 in one day on Thursday, September 1 -- money that can fund one week of chemotherapy for a St. Jude patient.

St. Jude families never receive a bill for their treatment.

You can help contribute by registering for one of their walks later this month or just by calling their office and making a donation. You can learn more about those walk/runs online or make a donation online here.

They have a walk at Campus Martius on Wednesday, September 21 and also walks in Ann Arbor and Sterling Heights on September 24.
