University Prep Science and Math school teams become national chess champions

Kids at a local school in metro Detroit are now national chess champions.

The University Prep Science and Math (UPSM) Elementary and Middle School Chess Teams returned as national champions from the Supernationals IV Tournament.

Student Cameron Rector won the individual National Championships in the K8 Under 750 section.

He and UPSM CEO Mark Ornstein join Fox 2 to talk about this big accomplishment.
