Woman thanks Red Cross, DTE for smoke alarm that saved her life

(WJBK) - A grandmother and her teenage grandson were able to escape a devastating home fire, thanks to smoke alarms installed by the American Red Cross and DTE Energy.

The alarms were installed during an in-home visit as part of the Home Fire Campaign. The campaign has installed thousands of smoke alarms in homes across Michigan, especially for families who may not have been able to afford them.
