Wounded Warrior Project Hosts Fundraiser for Local Marine

The Wounded Warrior Project helps our military veterans cope with and overcome with physical and mental challenges they experience when they return home.

One local group of veterans from the Ford Romeo Engine Plant is working hard toward that mission on behalf of former U.S. Marine Bobby Body with a fundraiser this week in Macomb County.

Body was seriously injured in 2006 when his armed convoy was attacked by numerous roadside bombs in Fallujah, Iraq. After multiple surgeries and rehab attempts, his left leg was amputated in 2013. The father of three from St. John is in need of a family vehicle while his wife attends nursing school.

Hear from him and the group of veterans supporting his effort with the Oct. 21 fundraiser at the Mirage in Clinton Township in the video above. They’ve also established a Go Fund Me page for those that want to help.
