14-year-old dies after being pulled from Huron River in Scio Township
A deadly drowning in Scio Township Thursday.
Two teens were pulled from the water late this afternoon with a 14-year-old later dying, according to Derrick Jackson of the Washtenaw Sheriff's Office.
The teen has been identified as Abdulrahman Labak.
At the time of the rescue, the 14-year-old had been listed in critical condition with the second teen in stable condition. Medical first responders and police arrived at the scene near Zeeb and Peters roads at about 4:30 p.m.
FOX 2 is told the 14 year old was swimming and canoeing in the Huron River this afternoon.
