14-year-old's death reported at Ypsilanti area school

WEB UPDATE: Ypsilanti police say the deceased student is a 14-year-old boy. 

Investigators say the boy died from a fall, suffering severe head injuries. Police are not sure if the boy jumped or was pushed, but early in the investigation say there does not appear to be signs of foul play.

The incident happened at Washtenaw International Middle Academy, located near Ecorse Road, at about 2:30 p.m. The boy was enrolled at the school, found to be missing after a check of students at the time.

A lockdown was in effect at the school due to a medical incident according to International Middle School officials at about 3 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.
