Ammonium leak causes evacuation of Little Caesars Arena

Two people suffered minor exposure after an ammonium leak at LCA in downtown Detroit.

Little Caesars Arena was evacuated Thursday after an ammonium leak was discovered, causing the Detroit Fire Department to respond.

Two people inside suffered minor exposure after the leak originated in the basement. Ammonia is used as a refrigerant, but the gas can be dangerous if ingested by humans.

There are no events scheduled at LCA tonight, with WWE Smackdown scheduled for Friday.
