Both directions of US 23 closed near Milan after semi crash

The Michigan Department of Transportation and Michigan State Police are both on the scene of a semi crash on US 23 near Milan.

The crash happened just after 3:30 on northbound US 23 at Plank Road. According to the city of Milan, both directions of the divided highway were closed due to the accident.

Around 4:15, traffic on the southbound side of the highway was reopened for one lane. 

According to pictures from the scene from SkyFOX, at least two passenger cars were involved in the crash as well as at least two semi trucks.

At least one person was flown to a hospital via a helicopter.

Milan is south of Ann Arbor.
