A bridge along 32 Mile Road in northern Macomb County that crosses the Clinton River will be closed beginning Wednesday.

According to published reports, the closure will be indefinite due to deterioration including rust damage to the support beams at the bridge's center pier.

County officials say that about 15,000 vehicles use the bridge daily, located between Powell and Romeo Plank roads bordering Armada and Ray townships.

The county is recommending a detour for motorists is 29 Mile Road.
