Detroit Fire crews extinguish large house fire on city's southwest side

The Brief

    • Detroit Fire Department crews were at the scene of a large house fire Thursday morning.
    • It was unclear if the structure was occupied but at least seven DFD trucks arrived at the scene to fight the blaze.
    • The house was on the city's southwest side near the intersection of Magnolia and Roosevelt streets.

DETROIT (FOX 2) - Multiple Detroit Fire crews fought a large fire at a Southwest Detroit house Thursday morning.

The backstory:

Crews were seen by SkyFOX at Magnolia and Roosevelt streets with the structure fully engulfed in flames. 

It is unclear if the house was occupied. 

By 7 a.m. the fire was extinguished after seven large fire trucks arrived at the scene.
