Detroit police release photos of teen wanted in death of man, 70
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Detroit police have released more information about the teen suspected of fatally shooting a 70-year-old man.
Police are currently looking for 17-year-old David Williams in connection with the shooting. The victim, Jamie Mintz, was shot to death inside his west side house in the 900 block of Mansfield Street at 4 a.m. April 6.
Police say Mintz, was a Vietnam veteran who struggled with the suspect over a gun, resulting in him being fatally shot.
Family told us the struggle happened after the victim's granddaughter, who lived with, snuck the boy into the house.
The suspect then exited the home and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
