Detroit's violent weekend had quadruple drive-by shooting, deadly gunfire at liquor store, and more
(FOX 2) - Detroit police had a "challenging" weekend with multiple investigations involving tragic deaths.
In one case, a teen is in custody for a deadly shooting, while a juvenile was wounded in a drive-by shooting at a separate scene.

Four people, including a 10-year-old child, are hospitalized after police say somebody drove up and started shooting in a neighborhood on the city's east side Friday evening.

A drive-by shooting that wounded four, a fatal shooting with a teen as the suspected gunman, and a possible murder suicide were all among Detroit police's busy weekend.
While violent crime is down in the city, chief Todd Bettison said the community's tolerance for incidents like shootings, has also lessened.
"This past Friday and over the weekend, we did have an uptick in violence," Bettison said, who described a "busy and challenging" weekend for the department.
Teen arrested in deadly shooting
Police were called to a liquor store in the 15500 block of E Warren around 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 21.
They had received reports of a double shooting at the location. One victim later succumbed to their injuries while the other is being treated at a hospital.
A 15-year-old was later taken into custody in connection with the incident.
Police expect charges by the end of the week.

A suspect is in custody after a shooting outside a liquor store on Detroit’s east side left one woman dead and another in critical condition late Friday night, police said.
Possible murder suicide
Detroit police responded to a home on Stoepel for reports of a foul odor coming from a home in the 15500 block.
Officers entered the home on Thursday and found the bodies of two people, including a 14-year-old boy. His 50-year-old mother was also found dead. Police say the two were likely killed in an apparent murder suicide.
After police spoke to family, they said the woman's husband had not been seen or heard from in years. They launched a missing person's investigation and later found skeletal remains in the basement of the home.
All three people appeared to have died from gunshot wounds.
Quadruple drive-by shooting
On Friday, police were called to the 3700 block of Haverhill on Detroit's east side for reports of a gunshot victim.
When they arrived, they found four total victims, including one juvenile. The 10-year-old victim was with his mother and two others at a home during the shooting.
There is no suspect in custody.
Police said the gunman was driving in a white Jeep Grand Cherokee with three other individuals wearing masks. At least one firearm was located.
