Employee shot, killed during fight with robbers at Detroit wellness store

Authorities are investigating a robbery then ended with a fatal shooting at a Detroit wellness store Tuesday evening.

Police say employees at The Water Station on Woodward Avenue were taking out the trash around 7 p.m. and left the back door open.

"Two suspects came in through the back door, one of them was armed with a gun. Robbed him, took the cash register. He then marched all three people outside and continued the robbery, made them empty their pockets," says Detroit Police Capt. Steve Walton.

At some point, a fight broke out between the employees and the suspects, and employee 29-year-old Devin Lewis was shot and killed.

Police say the suspects got away with $1,300 in cash.

Police are looking for two black males in their late 20s. We're told they were wearing black clothes and one of them was wearing a ski mask.

The Water Station sells wellness products and bottled water.
