'Jealous' teen rams man's car, crashes into Eastpointe house during chase
EASTPOINTE, Mich. (FOX 2) - Eastpointe said a teenager was arrested early Wednesday morning after he allegedly rammed a man's parked car, chase him through the city, and then crashed into a house after losing control while trying to ram the car again - all because he was jealous the man was with his girlfriend.
According to Eastpointe police, it happened around 2 a.m. Wednesday when the 18-year-old showed up at his girlfriend's house only to find another man was there with her.
Police said the got into an argument and he rammed into the man's car while it was parked on the side street. The victim then drove away and the teenager chased him, police say.
As he chased the victim, police said the teenager tried to ram the car again but missed and crashed into a house on Stephens.
The 18-year-old then tried to run from the scene but was arrested a few blocks away. The other driver also left the scene but later returned and talked to police.
The homeowners inside the house were not hurt.
The 18-year-old faces multiple charges and is still in custody.
