The victim was walking to a gas station at Joy Road and Southfield but he never made it.

According to Detroit police, he says he was near the intersection of Joy and Brace around 6 a.m. Monday morning. That's when another man allegedly walked up to him, grabbed him, and shoved him into his car.

The victim tells police the suspect drove to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulted him.

"This area is terrible, it's really bad," said Michael Jackson, who lives nearby.

"About two weeks ago we had a shooting right here on Greenview or Penrod," said resident Lawrence Powell. "A young man was killed and left in the middle of the street."

Stuffed animals worn from the elements and strapped to a utility pole as a make-shift memorial and a sign of yet another crime.

Jackson was held up at gun point earlier this year.

"Before I could get 'I don't want to get shot' out of my mouth' he emptied a clip in me," Jackson said, "He missed (the) top on my body. But he hit me with five bullets in my hip and groin area. I still have 1 bullet in my prostate."
