Oakland County woman, 2 children found dead in suspected murder-suicide

Bay County Sheriff's Department and Michigan State Police Crime Lab are investigating the scene. Sheriff Cunningham says they are treating this case as a murder-suicide, but can't rule out foul play until test results come back from MSP Crime Lab.

MSP confirms the vehicle was registered out of Oakland County.

Sheriff Cunningham says he is not aware of any connection between the victims and Bay County.

An Oakland County mother and two children were found dead in Bay County in a suspected murder-suicide Tuesday.

Both children are under the age of 5 years old, according to Sheriff Troy Cunningham, who said the three bodies were found in a car behind a building on Wheeler Road this morning.

The boy was found outside the car and the girl was found in the backseat of the vehicle and the mother was found in the driver's seat with a gun near her.

The woman is said to be in her 30s, but no official age has been confirmed.

The scene is still under investigation. Stay with FOX 2 for more information as it becomes available.
