Second person dies after fatal Monroe house fire

MONROE, Mich. (WJBK) - Another person is dead two days after a fatal house fire in Monroe.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says that the grandfather who was injured in the blaze has died.

The 70-year old was in critical condition with serious burns.

He was pronounced dead Tuesday around 5:55 p.m. while being treated at St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Five people were in the home when the fire broke out early Tuesday morning.

An 18-year old was also killed in the blaze.
