Southgate schools went into lockdown mode Friday morning after a student made a threat.

Southgate Anderson High School was locked down around 10:00 a.m. Friday with nobody being let it or out of the building. Police officials would not specify what the threat was but said the school was locked down as police try to 'mitigate the threat'.

Police say the threat was made at the Asher Adult Education building, which is next to Southgate Anderson and Davison School. All the schools in the district were put on lockdown because police weren't sure if or where the student would return.

That student has since been taken into police custody, questioned and is now back home with his parents.

Poilce are continuing to investigate. The lockdowns were lifted around 1 p.m.
