WB I-696 now open at Orchard Lake after fatal vehicle fire
OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. (Fox 2) - A fatal vehicle fire early Monday closed westbound I-696 at Orchard Lake.
UPDATE: Wrong-way driver killed in fiery I-696 crash after hitting semi head-on
The fire was reported by the Michigan Department of Transportation around 2 a.m. The freeway was closed for nearly 12 hours. It reopened around 1 p.m.
Details about the fire are unknown, though a burned semi-truck was in the ditch along the road. One person was killed.
