Warren Police: Man in custody after firing shots at officers
WARREN, Mich. (WJBK) - Van Dyke Avenue was closed for a short period of time Tuesday morning in Warren for a police situation. Warren Police confirmed to FOX 2 that they closed the roadway at Toepfer Road after a suspect fired shots at police and barricaded himself inside a home.
Around noon, police said the suspect surrendered because he was "too cold".
Nearby Lincoln High School also went into lockdown due to the police situation. No one was injured by any of the shots fired.
No other details were immediately released.
The stretch of Van Dyke is now open again.
