Water main break causes school closure in Detroit

Detroit's Martin Luther King Jr. Sr. High School will be closed Monday, due to a water main break.

The school district tells us this has nothing to do with yesterday's storm.

The water main break happened Friday, but service was quickly restored to homes in the area.

Before the school is reopened,  the city's water and sewage department needs to go through the process to determine  the water meets quality standards.

At this time, school will resume at the normal time on Tuesday.
