Tuesday had a quiet and cold start to the day, but things have changed tonight.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect Tuesday evening, with snow, sleet and freezing rain. The advisory is in effect from 7 p.m. until 8 a.m. all over southeast Michigan.

A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is possible. Snow accumulation isn't really expected, and the precipitation will change to rain around midnight as the temps get above freezing.

The chilly rain will stick around through Wednesday morning for your commute, but temps will be in the upper 30s at that point.

High temps on Wednesday are expected to be in the low 40s. Snow is expected to start melting then, too, so expect some slushy conditions.
