Comerica Park bag policy 2026: What's allowed, prohibited at Tigers games

Baseball is back in Detroit!

New items have been added to the list of items prohibited from Comerica Park during Detroit Tigers games, including glasses with video recording capabilities, so be sure you review what's not allowed before you go.

Comerica Park bag policy

Single-compartment bags, wallets, and clutches that are smaller than 4 inches by 6 inches by 1 ½ inches, with or without a handle or strap, are permitted. Bags, purses, and clutches larger than this are not allowed.

This policy does not include diaper bags or medical bags such as ones used to carry breast pumps, oxygen, insulin, and epi-pens. These bags can be up to 16 inches by 16 inches by 8 inches.

Items allowed at Comerica Park

  • Baby bottles
  • Bags, wallets, clutches, fanny packs and clear bags that are smaller than 4" x 6" x 1.5"
  • Baseballs (Comerica Park during baseball events)
  • Battery operated/ rechargeable, handheld fans
  • Battery operated coats, gloves, and vests
  • Binoculars
  • Blankets
  • Bottled water in a single, clear factory sealed plastic container that is 20 ounce or less. A single empty plastic water bottle is also permitted
  • Cameras without detachable lenses larger than eight inches
  • Diaper bags or parenting bags (must be smaller than 16" x 16" x 8")
  • Facepaint
  • Food that is a single serving for religious, dietary, or medical necessity
  • Headphones
  • Laptops, Tablets and IPads
  • Medical bags required for dietary or medical necessity (must be smaller than 16" x 16" x 8")
  • Seat cushions with soft surface, no metal surfaces
  • Signs and banners less than 11" x 17" in length that are not affixed to any pole or stick made of wood, metal, plastic, or any other hard material
  • Strollers are allowed in the venue but not in the seating area.
  • Radios (small portable radios)
  • Wheeled vehicles for ADA necessity
  • Umbrellas

Items not allowed at Comerica Park

  • Air horns, fog horns, bullhorns, cowbells, bells, horns, kazoos, whistles, vuvuzelas, didgeridoos, and other noisemakers
  • Aerosol cans, and items that contain contents under pressure, including hairspray, mace, and pepper spray
  • Alcoholic beverages of any kind
  • Animals (except approved service animals)
  • Apparel including, t-shirts, hats, jackets, or other wearables that exhibit words or images that are: (i) vulgar, obscene, profane, or discriminatory in nature; or (ii) intended to incite violence or cause disruption, as determined in our sole and absolute judgement, are prohibited.
  • Banners, signs, flags larger than 11" x 17"
  • Bags larger than 4" x 6" x 1.5" including bags associated with laptops, tablets, iPads, cameras and binoculars
  • Brooms, poles, bats, clubs, hockey sticks, selfie-sticks, frisbees, missile-like objects that can be thrown, balloons, beach balls or other inflatable items
  • Bottles, glass, aluminum, or metal containers
  • Coolers, hard sided or soft sided coolers (except for religious, dietary or for medical necessity)
  • Chairs, collapsible or folding/camping type chairs
  • Drones and/or Unmanned Aircraft flown inside or outside of the venue, including the surrounding parking areas
  • Fireworks or any types of explosives
  • Laser pointers and/or any device that could create an optical illusion or interfere with the ability of the eye to perceive depth or distance, such as pin wheels
  • Marijuana and/or illegal narcotics including accessories or paraphernalia associated with marijuana and/or illegal narcotics use
  • Masks, (ski masks, balaclavas, costume masks), except those needed for religious or medical reasons
  • Outside food and beverage of any kind (except for religious, dietary or for medical necessity)
  • Guests are permitted to bring in a single bottle of water in a clear, factory-sealed plastic container that is 20 ounces or less. A single, crushable, empty plastic water bottle that is 20 ounces or less is also permitted.
  • Poster tubes that are plastic or metal
  • Professional and/or commercial cameras with interchangeable or detachable lenses larger than eight inches, or other audio/visual recording devices (e.g., GoPro, Google Glass, Spectacles, etc.
  • Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, roller skates, hover boards, bicycles, and/or any wheeled vehicle (wheeled vehicles for ADA are permitted)
  • Spiked bracelets, spiked belts, spiked neck collars, spiked boots, chains long enough to wrap around a neck, sharp pointed rings, or sharp pointed jackets
  • Video and/or sound recording devices including tri-pods, mono-pods, GoPro, Google Glass, and eyeglass video recording devices
  • Weapons of any kind including firearms, ammunition, pepper spray, mace, brass knuckles, toy or fake weapons, squirt guns and knives of all types and sizes
