Wings select Swedish defenseman, Simon Edvinsson with 6th overall pick in 2021 NHL Draft

The Detroit Red Wings went defense with their sixth overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. They selected Simon Edvinsson out of the Sweden Junior League.

Edvinsson who's 18 comes in at 6-4, 198 pounds. He spent last season playing in three different leagues including the Swedish Hockey League with the Wings' Lucas Raymond who went fourth overall last year.
