A 6-year-old girl is in the hospital after police say she accidentally shot herself when finding a gun in her home. This all happened on the 8800 block of Artesian Street in Detroit. Witnesses at the scene told FOX 2 someone was brought out of the home in handcuffs.

Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated held its Northern Region Founders Day celebration in Detroit, honoring its 1943 founding at Lewis Business College. The event took place at Pensole Lewis College of Business and Design, which continues the educational legacy of the original institution. It's the  only Historically Black College and University in Michigan.  Hundreds from Michigan, Ohio, and West Virginia gathered to celebrate the sorority’s commitment to scholarship, leadership, and service. Hilary Golston served as emcee for the event.
