Tigers Opening Day forecast: Fantastic day for baseball in Detroit, with highs around 70
Fantastic weather for Tigers Opening Day
Humidity will fade and temperatures will rise, making for a fantastic day for the Detroit Tigers home opener.
DETROIT (FOX 2) - The Tigers Home Opener is looking fantastic.
You’ll notice the wind and there’s a tiny chance for a brief shower anytime from about 8 to 10 a.m., but dry weather will easily win the day. By first pitch, temperatures will be close to 70.
If we make it to 70, that'll be the warmest Tigers Home Opener since 1991.
Rain returns
Rain moves back in late tonight and lingers into Saturday, setting us up for a pretty wet day with rain more on than off.
Totals near an inch look likely. No major flooding concerns, but a few localized trouble spots can’t be ruled out.
Easter Sunday forecast
Then comes the sharp cool-down for Easter Sunday, with a few flurries possible to close out the weekend.
Highs in the 40s for the holiday persist into next week before temps start rising again.
