Almost Home Animal Rescue Aims to Empty the Shelters

The mission of the Almost Home Animal Rescue League and Haven is to give homeless dogs and cats a second chance.

They're teaming up with Bissell for a special 'empty the shelters' event today until every pet has a home. 

Karissa Parran, Almost Home's assistant manager, and Heather Rowan, from Bissel, dropped by the Fox2 Studios Saturday morning with a special friend to preview the event and discuss the need for pet adoption in Metro Detroit.
