It's one of the most famous races on the planet, and this year, one local runner is looking to make an impact by completing the New York City Marathon this year.

David Arce, a veteran of 30 marathons, will be running to help raise money for the Jimmy V Foundation. He's among 20 State Farm Insurance agents from the across the country committed to raising funds for cancer research. So far they've collected more than $100,000, and the State Farm Charity Foundation pledged to match all donations.

Arce stopped by the Fox2 News studios Sunday morning to discuss the initiative and preview the race. Watch the video above and click here to learn more about how to get involved.
