Pewabic has showcased hand-crafted ceramic and tile artwork for more than 25 years, and will do it again this weekend as host of its annual House and Garden show.
Executive Director Steve McBride visited the Fox2 Studios Saturday to discuss the schedule of events and to highlight some of the latest ceramic designs. In addition to teaching hand-crafted ceramics to the next generation of artists, McBride also reminded Metro Detroit that Pewabic is a working ceramic studio. He said more than 30,000 ceramic objects were made and sold there last year, and that more than 9,000 children and 2,400 adults attended classes or workshops
"The Pewabic House & Garden Show is a great way for us to reintroduce Pewabic to the public," said Executive Director Steve McBride. "We want everyone to know that Pewabic is a living, working ceramic studio."
