New comic book helps metro Detroit kids cope with social stigmas

There's a new series of heroes helping metro Detroit children.

"The XTRAS: Forces of Courage and Change" comic books are created and inspired by young people for young people. They features characters with bipolar disorder, ADHD, gender identity issues, Asperger's, or physical handicaps. 

It's a partnership between the Detroit Wayne Mental Health Authority and The Children's Center, Youth United, Youth Move Detroit and Wayne County Connections.

Joining FOX 2 is Trinilda Dearing, systems of care manager of the DWMHA, and Tyanna McClain, a regional youth specialist with the Children's Center.
