Play Ball: Jimmy John's Field opens Monday
The Tigers aren't the only baseball team in Metro Detroit now that Jimmy John's Field is opening on Memorial Day in Utica.
Andy Appleby, CEO/Founder of the United Shore Professional Baseball League, joined Amy Andrews on FOX 2 Friday morning in preparation of the inaugural game in Utica.
Among the teams you'll see at the ballpark: The Utica Unicorns, Eastside Diamond Hoppers, and Birmingham-Bloomfield Beavers. All three teams will play at the family-friendly ballpark starting Monday, May 30.
With lawn seats starting at $6 and suites just 30 feet from the field, there are no bad seats in the house.
The ball park is kid and adult friendly. Plus, there's a miniature wiffle ball stadium for both kids and adults.
The stadium is on M59 in downtown Utica.
