Resource Fair for Detroit Parolees

Convicts returning to mainstream society upon completing their prison terms face numerous challenges. From securing their identities to receiving job training, returning citizens need support that will help keep them out of trouble.

Knowing where to start can be a challenge and that's why the city of Detroit is helping with the Returning Citizens Resource Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 4 at the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation. Thirty vendors with expertise in critical quality of life fields, such as financial literacy, job training, and housing will be in attendance. City Councilwoman Janee Ayers visited the Fox2 Studios to discuss the program.
