1 woman dead, 1 firefighter injured in Detroit house fire

One person has died in a house fire on Detroit's northwest side Tuesday night.

The blaze broke out in the 17100 block of Hartwell Street at about 8:20 p.m. The victim is said to be a 44-year-old woman severely burned, according to Detroit fire, on the second floor.

One firefighter has been injured and is getting treated at the scene by EMS.

There is an ongoing search for a possible second victim, according to DFD Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell.
