14-year-old student in Madison Heights arrested with gun in school

A student at a Montessori school in Madison Heights was arrested Monday for bringing a gun to school.
Police in Madison Heights said they were called to Four Corners Montessori School around 3:30 Monday afternoon to a report of student having a handgun. Officers arrived and spoke with school administrators. They identified the student and police found and removed the gun.
The student was taken into custody and is now being held in the Oakland County's Children's Village.
Because the student is a minor, his name is not being released. Police did not provide an explanation as to why the student brought the gun to school.
