2 in custody after 3-year-old killed in shooting

Two people are in police custody Monday morning after a 3-year-old was killed in a shooting Easter Sunday morning. Two adults were also hurt in the shooting.

Police are calling the two people in custody persons of interest, and say they are cooperating with the investigation at this time.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. at a home in the 16800 block of Riverview Street, which is near W McNichols and Telegraph roads.

Police say a man at the house got in a fight so he left, but then he came back and kicked in the door and opened fire. A 3-year-old girl was shot twice and killed. A 39-year-old man is in critical condition and a 26-year-old man is in stable condition.
