Two men in two separate cases are both behind bars in the Macomb County Jail, arrested for sex crimes involving children.

One is charged with possession of child pornography, the other accused of trying to set up a sex date with a little boy - each caught in an online sting.

Richard Sherman Johnson, 43, from Clinton Township is allegedly had been downloading child pornography on his computer and other electronic devices.

"We were contacted by the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force," said Lt. John Michalke of the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. "They in turn received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children."

Investigators say 55-year-old Charles Edgar Keller from Romeo was seeking sexual relations from a male juvenile he found on the internet. But in reality he was talking to and sending graphic images to detectives.

"Our detectives had a pre-determined meet, date and location and that individual showed up and he was arrested," Michalke said.

The Macomb County Sheriff's Office says despite busting people over and over for sex crimes, it seems some think they won't get caught.

"Our MACE team is very effective at these," Michalke said. "So we have many cases ongoing and many cases have been successful and our prosecutions are in turn successful."
