2 people injured in 2-alarm apartment blaze in Detroit
DETROIT (FOX 2) - Detroit firefighters are battling a 2-alarm apartment fire on the west side of the city.
Firefighters are at the seven-story Greenhouse Apartments in the 17300 block of Southfield Friday night, DFD said. The fire as of 10:20 was knocked down and out.
Two people were transported to the hospital, one person in critical condition taken to Sinai Grace, one with smoke inhalation.
The fire happened on the fourth floor with likely at least one unit affected but there could be more, said Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell.
The apartments are a seven-story building located between McNichols and Outer Drive.
Residents are slowly being allowed back into the building, officials said.
