20-month-old girl hospitalized after being hit by car in Pontiac driveway
PONTIAC, Mich. (WJBK) - A 20-month-old girl has been hospitalized after she was hit by a car backing out of a driveway in Pontiac.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said the 18-month-old girl was hit by a car in the driveway of a home in the 100 block of Warwick Wednesday morning.
According to a witness, the parent of the child was putting air in her car when the little girl wandered off when the girl was hit by a neighbor backing her car out of the driveway. The sheriff's office said the caller told them the grl was run over and not breathing.
EMS responded and were able to get a pulse from the girl on the way to Royal Oak Beaumont. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says the girl is in critical condition.
Authorities said they are still investigating.
