$20K raised for bus driver assaulted last week

A check for $20,000 was delivered to a bus driver who was assaulted last week.

Rebhi Mohammed, who drives a bus for Multicultural Academy, a charter school in Pittsfield Township, was attacked by two men after he grazed the side of their vehicle last Friday. After the incident, two men climbed into the bus and assaulted Mohammed, with children in the back screaming.

However, a week later brought happier news. With his phone and keys getting stolen, a GoFundMe helped raise money, which came to the tune of thousands of dollars.

Along with the money, officials say that one of the two suspects has turned himself in, with another still missing.

The check was delivered to Mohammed Friday afternoon.
