DETROIT (WJBK) - The brave 3-year-old girl battling to recover after she was caught in the middle of gunfight and shot in the head has finally returned home.
After nearly a month in the hospital, little London was greeted by cheering loved ones as she returned home Thursday night.
Last month, her mom stopped for gas on Detroit's west side when two men began firing at each other, striking the child while she was sitting in the back seat.
A bullet flew through the windshield and hit her in the head.
The man accused of firing that gun is behind bars awaiting trial. Exel Taylor, 24, is facing three counts of assault with intent to commit murder, carrying a concealed weapon -motor vehicle, carrying a weapon with unlawful intent, and four counts of felony firearm.
The family has started a GoFundMe to raise money for medical expenses that aren't covered by insurance. They say they are very grateful for the community support. If you'd like to donate, you can do so here.
