Five people were rescued after their boat caught fire Tuesday on Lake Michigan.

They were rescued by a fellow good Samaritan boater near Big Sable Point, which is near Ludington, Mich. The U.S. Coast Guard also responded.

The good Samaritan's got to the scene and helped get the five people off the burning boat. It's not known what caused the fire aboard their 31-foot Tiara Cabin Cruiser.

One person aboard was taken for treatment for possible smoke inhalation.

A Ludington Fire boatcrew arrived and helped put put out the fire. The boat then sank in about 75 feet of water.
