80-year-old Eastpointe man carjacked

DETROIT (WJBK) - Eastpointe, Mich., resident James Lee said a man asked for a ride outside a Clark gas station on Detroit's east side.

"You can go anywhere on the east side ... and they know me," Lee said.

Lee said the man snatched him out of the far and he fell. The suspect then began hitting him on the chest and shoulder.  Lee called police, who arrived right away. He described his attacker as a black man with a lighter complexion in his mid-20s with a beard. Police are still searching for the suspect and Lee's car.
