Amber Alert for 1-year-old Mich. boy canceled after boy is found safe

Authorities have canceled an AMBER Alert for a 1-year-old boy in Michigan after he was apparently taken by his babysitter.

Authorities say Miquis Jenkins went missing from Grand Rapids on Wednesday, August 1, 2018. Police believe he has been taken by his babysitter.

Around 3 p.m. Thursday, the toddler and the babysitter were found in Benton Harbor

Police say the babysitter was 19-year-old Iyesha Gibbs. She was allowed to pick up the child, but disconnected all forms of communication with the mom.

Benton Harbor is on the west side of the state, about 200 miles from Detroit.
