America's Thanksgiving Parade Detroit info

The America's Thanksgiving Parade Detroit presented by Art Van is back! We've got you covered with all the little details.

TICKETS

Grandstand tickets are available for pickup. To place your order, please call 313-923-7400. All orders must be received by Tuesday, November 24 at noon. Anyone can enjoy the parade for free, though, lining the streets of Woodward.

Anthony T. Michaels, the Parade Company President, suggests getting downtown around 6 to 6:30 a.m.

"Seriously, the crowd is going to be massive," he says.

The parade starts at 8:50 a.m. at the DIA and hits the television zone at 10 a.m. and goes until noon.

M-1 RAIL CONSTRUCTION

"The M-1 people have been amazing; we've worked with them for two years. Woodward is good to go. It's going to be a little narrow in some places but there's not going to be the huge construction hills," Michaels says. "A couple areas where you won't be able to watch, like right in front of the new stadium, but that's pretty much it."

SECURITY

"We turn to the experts. That is the Detroit Police Department, Homeland Security. What they need done, we do," Michaels says. "We work hand in hand. Anything they say goes, because they do it right."
