Apartment building burns in Troy

Fire officials are investigating how a fire started at a condominium complex early Monday morning in Troy.

The building went up in flames just before 7 a.m. at the Wattles Creek Condominiums at Wattles and Old Creek Road. The fire, which started in the back of one of the units, spread quickly but was also quickly put under control.

We're told the second floor collapsed and there's significant damage to the back part of the complex.

Everyone was evacuated and everyone is safe. We're told firefighters were also able to rescue a cat from the fire.
