Authorities release names of 3 killed in crash near Detroit
LIVONIA, Mich. - Authorities have released the names of three people killed in a multiple-vehicle crash in suburban Detroit.
The Wayne County medical examiner's office says Tuesday that 80-year-old Joseph Sito of Livonia, 88-year-old Bernadine Karby of Livonia and 67-year-old Suzanne Wernette-Robb of Redford each died of multiple injuries sustained in the accident.
Sito was driving when it is believed her suffered a medical condition and crossed the centerline. His Mercury Grand Marquis went into oncoming traffic on westbound 5 Mile, striking the Ford Focus driven by Wernette-Robb. Karby was her passenger.
A minivan also was involved in the collision. Its occupants suffered minor injuries.
