Autopsy scheduled Monday for 63-year-old woman found murdered in Bruce Township

Police are investigating the death of a 63-year-old woman in Bruce Township Friday.

The victim, Linda Castillo, was found dead inside her residence in the 12000 block of Creekview in the Springbrook Estates Mobile Home Park.

"This Investigation has now been deemed a homicide investigation," said Lt. Michael Shaw, Michigan State Police on Twitter.

One suspect has been taken into custody by police, but the relation, if any, has not been given by investigators.

Autopsy results are expected by Monday, while nearby Havenpark Communities and residents of Springbrook Estates in an outpouring of support for the family.

Havenpark has established a GoFundMe to support the Castillo family at this time, we are making a $2,500 donation to the memorial fund to help offset funeral and other expenses.

A statement from Havenpark Communities said in part:

 "We will miss Linda Castillo. She was a long-time resident of Springbrook Estates and had many friends in the community. We are cooperating with local law enforcement officials who are investigating this tragic incident. Anyone who has questions about the details of this incident should contact local law enforcement."

Monday's scheduled autopsy will reveal what killed Linda Castillo.
